Welcome to Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi! Our entire staff wishes to make your appointment with us a beneficial and pleasant experience. Our staff strives to take care of you in a professional and courteous manner. To better serve you, the following are a few tips and guidelines.
Hours of Operation
Our physicians and support staff see patients by appointment only. Appointments are available at Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please contact our office by calling 662-234-9888 to schedule your appointment today.
New Patient Appointments
We are glad you chose Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi for your care. We welcome you to our facility and hope you have a pleasant experience with us. For your first visit with us, we recommend you do the following:
- Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to complete necessary paperwork.
- Bring your insurance card(s) and a Photo I.D.
- To save time, you may complete and submit the Patient Information Form online.
- If you are taking medications of any kind, PLEASE BRING YOUR MEDICATIONS WITH YOU.
- Payment is required at the time of service. Our facility accepts personal checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and Debit Card, in addition to cash. A cash receipt will be provided for all cash payments.
- If you are visiting our facility as a result of a Workers Compensation claim, your case must be pre-authorized prior to your first appointment. This should be discussed at the time when you make your appointment.
- If you would like our facility to file a claim with your insurance company, we will be happy to do so. Your bill for services rendered is your responsibility.
- If your insurance company requires pre-authorization, please be sure this has been done prior to your appointment. However, our facility does NOT arrange for pre-authorization.
We understand that there may be times when you miss an appointment, due to an emergency or unforeseen problem. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible to reschedule. We ask that you provide us with no less than 24 hours notice, if you must cancel an office visit. Our answering service is available to accept calls if we are closed.
In the event that our office does not receive proper notification, there will be a $ $25.00 cancellation fee assessed to your account for missed office visit appointments. Payment will be required prior to rescheduling your appointment.
Proper notification of your cancellation will allow us to offer the appointment time to other patients and enable us to reschedule you in a timely manner.

Insurance and Billing
At Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi, we participate in a variety of insurance companies. Your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company and our facility is not a party to your contract. At the time of your visit to our facility, patients need to provide our staff with the most current and correct information, including your insurance card. You, the patient, are financially responsible for all co-pays and deductibles associated at the time services are rendered. Any medical care determined by your insurance company to be a “non-covered benefit” is also your responsibility.
We will be happy to perform courtesy billing for you to your insurance company, provided that we have all pertinent billing information. We will not become involved in disputes between you and your insurance company regarding deductibles, non-covered charges, co-insurance payments, secondary insurance coverage, coordination of benefits or pre-existing conditions other than to provide any necessary factual information.
In the event that unforeseen financial difficulties arise, our facility will make an effort to work with any patient who experiences these struggles. Arrangements may be made after careful consideration of these circumstances on an individual basis. Formal arrangements, with our staff, must be made prior to services rendered, when possible. If a balance is remaining on your account when this financial hardship arises, we will attempt to work with you as best we can. Please keep in mind that charges assessed are based on the nature of your illness and that all steps taken are necessary to complete your evaluation properly.

MEDICARE / MEDICAID
Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi is a licensed Medicare and Medicaid Provider. We will bill them directly for all fees associated with your care. As a beneficiary of Medicare or Medicaid, you are responsible for any applicable deductibles and co-insurance.
